The Lusaka High Court has viewed video footage of ten-year-old Chikondi Banda, who was killed earlier this year.
According to the footage, Chikondi was seen walking with his alleged murderer, the very day he was reported missing by his relatives.
Chikondi’s body was discovered near Emmasdale Police Station.
The aforementioned footage is from the cameras mounted on the Great East Road and linked to the National Command Center.
Meanwhile, four witnesses have testified in the murder case of the 10-year-old Chikondi who lived in Lusaka’s Garden Chilulu Compound.
Among them is a Police officer, Sergeant Manvas Kalaba, from the National Command center, a government unit responsible for the installation of street cameras in Lusaka, Copperbelt and Livingstone.
Chikondi’s former Class Teacher, Silvia Mwange, told the Court that the deceased attended class on March 16 2023, the day of his disappearance.
In the matter, Nalukui Akafelwa, Chikondi’s neigbour is charged with the murder of the ten-year-old.
