Lupososhi Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Mpankata, says the selection of beneficiaries under the 2023 National Youth Empowerment Grants Scheme was not fair, accusing the District Commissioner of allegedly having single-handedly picked beneficiaries.
Mr. Mpankata says in two other districts given, earlier Members of Parliament and other stakeholders such as the church were brought on board to select beneficiaries, but wonders who in Lupososhi when his offices and other stakeholders was sidelined.
Meanwhile, Youth, Sports and Arts Minister, Elvis Nkandu, says the funds are meant for youth who meet the requirements and should not be politicized by anyone.
