Consultations between the Zambian government and the family of the late Sixth Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu are still underway to ensure a smooth repatriation of his remains.
Secretary to the Cabinet, Patrick Kangwa, currently in South Africa, says the official programme will be announced once the consultations are concluded.
President Lungu’s remains were initially scheduled for repatriation today, Wednesday, 11th June 2025, but the family requested a change to that arrangement.
