After ten years of waiting for the commissioning of the modern bus terminus and City market in Livingstone, government has finally opened the two facilities to the public.
Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Gary Nkombo, has charged that his administration is resolved to ensure there is orderly business in markets and bus stations, which will be conducted from proper infrastructure.
National Pensions Scheme Authority Director General, Muyangwa Muyangwa says its provision of a loan at the cost of 42 million kwacha to complete works on the two mega facilities is among the top investments model of the institution.
The two properties were set to be opened in 2013 during the United Nations World Tourism Conference co-hosted between Zambia and Zimbabwe but construction prolonged and when they were complete, they were not commissioned as expected.
