Zambia Must Prosper President, Kelvin Bwalya Fube, has been taken to court over alleged failure to report a suspicious transaction to the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC).
Mr. Bwalya is jointly charged with four others namely Beauty Chama, a data clerk, Ibrahim Mitha, business executive, Hassan Hañif Mitha, another business executive, and Bwalya Chitalu Kalandanya, a music promoter and business executive.
The state is accusing the four of alleged money laundering and being in possession of properties reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.
The accused are therefore expected to appear before Magistrate Silvia Munyinya for plea on 2nd June, 2023.
