Kwacha Constituency aspiring candidate Lawrence Kasonde has withdrawn from the election slated for Thursday this week.
Kasonde who alleges acts of intimidation by state actors has based his decision in accordance with Article 52(6) of the Constitution of Zambia.
He cites the Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ’s delay to announce the arrival of ballot papers in the country and alleged restrictions on his campaign as one of the reasons for his action.
