Victims of the demolished Chingola houses have cried foul over the decision by the municipal council to dump them at the former AVIC campsite in Kabundi Township.

The victims are concerned that civic leaders have not engaged them on the way forward after demolishing their structures.

Meanwhile, Chingola Mayor Johnson Kangombe said that the issue was presented in the full council meeting and they are finalizing processes to reallocate land to the affected.

About 22 families are currently camped at the former Avic Campsite in Kabundi while others are seeking shelter in Kasompe Township.

Over 300 illegally built houses were last month, demolished on Kasompe Airstrip land in Chingola.
