Councillors of the suspended Kafue Town Council have appealed to Local Government Minister, Gary Nkombo to rescind his decision.
Kafue Town Council Deputy Chairperson Justine Singoyi says the three months suspension is unfair because not all councillors were involved in the protest.
Mr. Singoyi further notes that the minister did not cite any provision of the Local Government Act which was allegedly breached by the Councilors when suspending them.
On 3rd November, 2022 Local Government Minister Gary Nkombo suspended the Kafue Council for 90 days due to disorderly conduct.
