A woman of Kabanana compound in Lusaka poisoned three of her children on Tuesday April 11,2023 and later committed suicide.
Of the three children, two died, aged 5 and 3 respectively, while the first born aged 8-years-old survived.
The deceased’s husband Duncan Mbewe has told Diamond News that he was not around when it happened but in Mozambique for work.
He says his wife was constantly talking about taking her own life due to debt she owed various people, but he promised they would sort out these issues together.
He says he only received a message from his wife while in Mozambique that she was sorry for everything.
Mr Mbewe is deeply broken and wondering how he will pull through life after losing his wife and children in such circumstances.
And the Police are yet to give more details.
