A Lusaka Pastor accused of raping an 18-year-old girl who was entrusted to him for spiritual cleansing has been acquitted by the Lusaka Magistrate Court.
George Phiri, aged 30, a pastor of United End of Times Church in Kanyama Compound told the court that the alleged victim was his girlfriend.
A security officer at the named lodge confirmed that the complainant and the accused had booked a room for a short time and looked happy.
Speaking after the court appearance, Pastor Phiri says he will continue with his Ministry.
He says the complainant was scorned after he refused to marry her.
