Mealie Meal prices have continued fetching between 180 and 200 kwacha per 25kg bag, amidst concerns from the public.
Shop owners in Lusaka have told Diamond News that orders are taking long and suppliers keep changing prices.
Last week Minister of Agriculture Mtolo Phiri indicated that there is a high demand for the commodity within the country and for exports, hence pushing the prices high.
He however directed that 25kg bag of Mealie Meal should be sold at less than 150 kwacha.
