HICHILEMA CALLS FOR INCREASED INVESTMENT AND TRADE IN ZAMBIA

President Hakainde Hichilema has reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to economic diplomacy, peace, security, and stability. While receiving letters of credence from the High Commissioners of India, Bangladesh, and Canada, as well as the Ambassador of Belarus, he emphasized the importance of strengthening international relations through increased investment and trade.

The President highlighted key sectors such as mining, agriculture, energy, and pharmaceuticals as critical drivers of economic growth and job creation. He encouraged partnerships and joint ventures to enhance bilateral ties and promote multilateral cooperation.

Hichilema has consistently advocated for economic diplomacy, emphasizing Zambia’s shift towards leveraging international partnerships for economic and social development. His engagements with foreign diplomats reflect a broader strategy to attract investment, foster trade, and maintain stability in the region.
