HH WARNS AGAINST RETURNING TO THE PAST, UNVEILS MULTI-BILLION KWACHA DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR KAPIRI MPOSHI

.

President Hakainde Hichilema has urged the people of Kapiri Mposhi to safeguard the country’s economic recovery by voting for the UPND, warning that those he blames for mismanaging the economy are seeking a return to power under a different political banner.

Addressing a campaign rally, the President contrasted what he described as the hardships experienced under the previous administration including political violence, economic decline and restricted opportunities with what he says are the gains achieved under his government.

The Head of State cited the introduction of free education, meal allowances for students, bursaries, social cash transfers and the construction of student hostels as some of the key milestones of his administration.

He also says his government has cleaned up the Farmer Input Support Programme by removing over 200,000 alleged ghost farmers, allowing resources to reach genuine beneficiaries.

President Hichilema further unveiled an ambitious development agenda for Kapiri Mposhi, highlighting plans to rehabilitate the railway network, establish a dry port linked to the TAZARA corridor, resolve the district’s long-standing water challenges and complete the Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway.

.

He maintains that these projects, alongside the upgrading of township roads and increased investment, would only be secured if voters renewed the UPND’s mandate in the upcoming general election.
