HH URGES UNITY THROUGH SPORT AT KK DAY GOLF TOURNAMENT

.

Republican President Hakainde Hichilema has called on Zambians to promote peace and unity through sport, pledging to build on the legacy of Zambia’s founding President, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda.

Speaking at the KK Day Golf Tournament held at State House in memory of Dr. Kaunda, President Hichilema stressed the importance of reflecting on Kaunda’s life and leadership, noting that it serves as inspiration to create opportunities for both current and future generations, just as Kaunda did during his era.

Meanwhile, Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu says athletes across different disciplines are honoring Kaunda’s legacy by encouraging wide participation in sports activities among Zambians.

The tournament was part of activities commemorating four years since the passing of Kenneth Kaunda, who died on 17 June 2021.
