President Hakainde Hichilema has instructed the Road Development Agency (RDA) and the contractor working on the Batoka–Maamba Road to expedite construction.
During a site tour on Tuesday, the President emphasized the road’s importance in supporting the 300-megawatt Maamba Energy power project.
He expressed satisfaction with progress on the 88-kilometer stretch but stressed that timely completion would boost regional transport and trade.
