In a bid to bolster public service delivery and enhance Zambia’s diplomatic footprint, President Hakainde Hichilema has made significant appointments to key government positions.
Mr. Shadreck Mbewe has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Lands. His appointment is expected to bring renewed focus and efficiency to the administration of land affairs in the country, a sector that plays a critical role in national development, investment, and social equity.
In the diplomatic sphere, President Hichilema has appointed former Zambia Army Commander, Lieutenant General Dennis Alibuzwi, as Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary to the Federal Republic of Brazil. General Alibuzwi’s wealth of leadership experience from his military career is anticipated to enhance Zambia’s bilateral relations with Brazil, especially in areas of trade, defense cooperation, and cultural exchange.
These appointments are part of the President’s broader agenda to streamline governance, improve public service efficiency, and position Zambia strategically on the international stage.
More appointments are expected to be announced in due course as part of the ongoing efforts to align leadership with the country’s development priorities.
