Zambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mulambo Haimbe, this morning joined his counterparts from Zimbabwe and South Africa for a SADC Troika Ministerial Committee meeting held on the sidelines of the African Union Executive Council session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Zimbabwe was represented by its Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira, while South Africa’s delegation was led by Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Troika members to engage on matters relating to regional peace and security, as well as to align their priorities and planning for the year ahead.
On the sidelines of the summit, Mr. Haimbe also held a bilateral meeting with a German delegation, where discussions focused on strengthening Zambia–Germany relations and enhancing mutual cooperation going forward.
