The Lusaka Magistrate Court has explained the charges against the five alleged killers of the former Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Director General, Guntila Muleya.

In this matter, the accused Francis Chipyoka, an accountant at IBA; Methusan Basa Domowe; Calib Zulu, both police officers; and Samuel Dokowe, a systems engineer—are charged with murder contrary to the laws of Zambia.

When the matter came up before Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya for explanation of the charges, the accused acknowledged that they understood the charges against them.

The Director of Public Prosecutions is yet to issue a certificate of committal to the High Court for the suspects.
