The Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) post-election report has revealed election violation and inducing in the Kabushi and Kwacha Parliamentary by-elections.

CCMG Steering Committee Chairperson, Bishop Andrew Mwenda says the organisation monitors deployed in the Kwacha and Kabushi constituencies observed violence and voter inducement during the election process.

Mr. Mwenda says the report has revealed distribution of money in K50 and K100 notes and food by UPND officials headed by its Campaign Manager, Elvis Nkandu.

The report further says the Zambia Police and The Electoral Commission of Zambia must also investigate the matter in which unidentified persons who have still not been arrested used violence and insulting language on UPND campaign manager Mr. Elvis Nkandu in a situation that left his vehicle damaged.

The CCMG report also recommends that the Electoral Commission of Zambia investigate whether the UPND campaign manager took an unpaid leave during the period he was appointed Campaign Manager for the two Parliamentary by-elections.
