President Hakainde Hichilema says government has managed to source funds that will help boost Copper production at Mopani Copper Mines and ease operations.

President Hichilema says the company is one of the mining firms with a viable potential to foster gains in the projected copper production of 3 million tonnes in 10 years.

Speaking during his feature on Sun FM TV in Ndola, President Hichilema says his government seeks to address challenges many mining firms are facing on the Copperbelt province.

President Hichilema further disclosed that investing in Mopani will help government solidify its share in the mining sector.

The head of state has been on the Copperbelt for a two-day work visit.
