Government has halted the planned rally by United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) which was supposed to be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 in Kafue District.

Home Affairs Minister, Jack Mwiimbu, says this is because UKA is an illegal entity which is neither registered as a political party nor as a pressure group by the Registrar of Societies.

On April 4, 2024, UKA Chairperson in-charge of Communications, Jackson Silavwe, in a statement announced plans by UKA to hold a mass rally at Matanda ZC Grounds on April 13, 2024.

Among the leaders that were scheduled to speak at the halted rally include those from Christian Democratic Party CDP, Golden Party of Zambia GPZ, National Democratic Congress NDC , Patriotic Front PF , Citizen First CP , New Heritage Party NHP, Forum For Democracy Development FDD and United Liberal Party.
