The Ministry of Education has further postponed the reopening of schools across the country from the 29th of January 2024 to 12th February 2024.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka, Minister of Education, Douglas Siakalima says the postponement has been necessitated by the continued spreading of cholera.
Mr. Siakalima has further explained that in order to catch up on the time lost, the First Term holidays will only run for one (1) week instead of four (4) weeks.
Zambia has in the last 24 hours recorded 438 new cholera infections and 6 deaths.
