The Treasury also released K526.9 million for capital expenditure, of which K459.9 million was allocated to road infrastructure and K67 million to infrastructure projects in various ministries.

Meanwhile, K1.8 billion was allocated to transfers, subsidies and social benefits.

This included K857 million for grant-aided institutions, including hospitals and universities; K435.8 million for the Social Cash Transfer Programme; K200 million for the Food Security Pack Programme; and K120.8 million for the Local Authorities Equalisation Fund.
