Miners have recovered four bodies from Sensele Mine, about five days after the conclusion of the search and retrieval mission.

With these recoveries, the total number of bodies removed from the mine tunnels now stands at 30, since the accident occurred in January this year.

Only one person was rescued.

Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo confirmed the discovery today at a press briefing in Ndola.

Mr. Matambo has since confirmed that starting tomorrow, Sensele Mine will be sealed off, with a strong police presence deployed to enforce the closure and secure the site.
