Zambia’s highly anticipated friendly matches against Colombia is on in the next four days.
Both the Copper Queens and the Powerpuff Girls are using the friendly games as part of preparations for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Colombia who are making their third appearance at the world cup will host Zambia making a maiden appearance after booking a spot following a third place finish at the Women’s Africa Cup.
The two teams will have their first clash on November 12 and their second on November 15 in Cali.
Colombia Women’s National Football Team Head Coach Nelson Abadia has summoned 23 local and international players who were runners-up in the 2022 Women’s Copa America Femenina.
Meanwhile, Copper Queens Head Coach Bruce Mwape hopes the Colombian side will present its main team to help him assess how his players have picked up since their engagement in the league games.
At the world cup, Nelson Abadia’s charges are in group H with Germany, Morocco and South Korea while Zambia is in group C alongside Costa Rica, Japan and Spain.
