Four headmen in Chinsali District in Muchinga Province of Zambia have been expelled from their villages, due to their involvement in illegal land allocation.
The expulsion was announced during an emergency meeting held by Senior Chief Nkula at his Palace in Chinsali which was attended by several headmen, sub-chiefs and Lubemba Chiefs.
Senior Chief Nkula says he will not allow sale of land without undergoing customary procedure.
The upset traditional leader has since urged his subjects to join forces to guard against the illegality because failure to do so will lead to cultural heritage which is the birthright of indigenous people for future generations.
Over one thousand hectares of land is said to have been sold to a foreigner by the four headmen at a low price hence prompting the repossession of the said area.
