Former Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission for being in possession of properties suspected to be proceeds of crime worth 29 million kwacha.

This is in relation to investigations that ACC has been conducting on properties allegedly belonging to Mr. Kampyongo.

Lawyer George Chisanga has confirmed the arrest and that his client has since been released on bond, pending court appearance.

ACC Public Relations Manager Timothy Moono has confirmed the arrest.
