FIVE DIE AFTER CONSUMING TRADITIONAL BREW IN ZIMBA MIXED WITH METHYLATED SPIRIT AND SWEETENER

Five people have died after consuming a traditional brew made from a mixture of spirit and sweetener.

The incident occurred in Fumba Ward of Mapatizya Constituency in Zimba District, Southern Province.

Mafwumba Ward Councillor has confirmed the development to Diamond News, stating that the bodies of the five deceased have been deposited at Zimba Mission Hospital, while several others remain in critical condition.
