Government has noted with concern the increase in cyber security and illicit financial crimes.
Southern Province Minister Cornelius Mweetwa has implored auditing professionals to embrace the latest information technology communication skills to fight the vice.
He says being vigilant and interrogative of any suspicious transactions will help provide assurance that there is no mismanagement of public resources.
Speaking at the Supreme Audit Institution for African Countries in Livingstone, Zambia’s Auditor General Dickson Sichembe urged auditors to foster transparency and accountability of public resources.
He adds that most clients have invested in use of advanced technology to defraud the systems hence being data-driven will help keep up with the trends.
