FAZ SOUTHERN PROVINCE ISSUES STRONG WARNING OVER MISCONDUCT IN LOWER LEAGUES

.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Southern Province League and Competitions Chairperson, Haluciso Davious, has raised serious concerns over increasing misconduct among teams in the region.

He has confirmed that his office has received reports involving cases of forgery, the use of ineligible players, and impersonation.

Speaking to Diamond Sports, Haluciso has revealed that most of these irregularities are taking place in the lower divisions, particularly from Division Two downwards, attributing the challenges to team managers who refuse to release players seeking transfers, which has led to confusion and disputes between clubs.

He says there is a need for team managers to allow players to move freely if they wish to join other clubs, adding that the refusal has been a major contributing factor to cases of forgery, and anyone found guilty risks penalties, including a complete ban from FAZ, which applies to players, team officials, and the ones responsible for registrations.

Haluciso has further condemned acts of hooliganism by home team supporters and officials, particularly targeting match officials and visiting teams, saying such behavior is unacceptable and unsportsmanlike which will not be tolerated or entertained by his office.
