The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has described the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) group stage draw as fair.
The Chipolopolo have been placed in Group A alongside hosts Kenya, Morocco, Angola and DR Congo.
In an interview with Diamond Sports, FAZ Communications Manager Sydney Mungala has acknowledged the tough competition in the group, featuring former winners Morocco and DR Congo.
Mungala has emphasized that the team has sufficient time to prepare while studying their opponents, further expressing optimism about using the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in March to sharpen players for CHAN.
The CHAN 2025 was postponed to August from February this year.
