A father and son are currently in police custody in connection with the alleged murder of six-year-old Naomi Kapobela of Lusaka’s Zani Muone West.
On February 9, police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile in connection with the case.
In the latest update, Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi disclosed that police have also arrested the juvenile’s father, who is now in custody, bringing the number of suspects to two.
Naomi was found in a sack a day after her family reported her missing.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the body had physical injuries consistent with suspected foul play.
