The family of 38-year-old Nicholas Muchima is calling for justice after he was fatally shot by police during a patrol in Lusaka’s SOS area on Saturday.
Police report that the patrol team was responding to intelligence about suspected criminals gathered near a makeshift shop.
When approached, the group allegedly threw stones, prompting officers to fire warning shots. Muchima was shot in the head, while Rabson Mvula sustained a thigh wound.
Muchima’s sister, Josephine, refuted the police account, insisting her brother was not involved in criminal activity.
