The Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested journalist Margaret Faith Musonda and charged her with 10 counts of being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime worth K17 million.
The Commission has disclosed that between 2019 and 2021, Ms. Musonda possessed a property in Kingsland City in Lusaka valued at K2.3 million, possessed a government bond valued at K1.6 million among other properties.
Last year, Ms. Musonda had surrendered K65 million and USD57, 900 to the State which was suspected to be proceeds of crime in-line with the section 80 of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012.
Ms. Musonda has been released on bond and expected to appear in court soon.
