Former Mechanical Services Department (MSB) employees under the Ministry of Works and Supply are demanding benefits.
The group’s spokesperson Victor Musonda says the former employees have neither received termination letters nor been given benefits for over 34 years.
Mr. Musonda alleges that some forged letters were presented in court suggesting that they were paid, when in fact not.
He adds that collectively, the unhappy former civil servants want President Hakainde Hichilema to end what they term as years of injustice in the pursuit to get what they are owed by the government.
But in a letter dated 16th May 2023, Deputy Secretary to Cabinet Oliver Kalabo indicates the Supreme Court fairly adjudicated the matter and ruled the case is closed, a decision that he says must be adhered to.
