The European Union has released 110 million Euros as support through the EU’s Global Gateway Strategy aimed at strengthening economic partnerships with Zambia.
The EU delegation announced the support at State House when they met President Hakainde Hichilema.
EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen says 60 million euros will go towards improving education and health sectors.
Mrs. Urpilainen says 30 million euros will go towards renovating the Kariba dam under green partnership to address climate change and 20 million euros is allocated to improve food security and to support small holder farmers.
And President Hakainde Hichilema is grateful for the recognition by EU and the support the country is receiving to improve its economy.
