ERB Reduces Petrol and Diesel Prices Effective Immediately, Starting February 1

.

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has revised pump prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene and Jet A-1 downwards for the month of February 2026, with the new prices taking effect at midnight.

In a statement, ERB Chairperson James Banda says the pump price of petrol has been reduced from K29.92 per litre to K27.88 per litre, while diesel has been adjusted from K25.11 per litre to K24.50 per litre.

Mr. Banda further disclosed that kerosene has been reduced from K23.88 per litre to K22.24 per litre, while Jet A-1 has gone down from K25.53 per litre to K23.80 per litre.

He has attributed the reductions to a downward shift in international market prices for petroleum products and an appreciation of the local exchange rate by 10.6 percent since the last price review conducted on 31 December 2025.
