.

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has approved 62 license applications and 8 construction permits across Zambia’s energy sector with a total investment pledge of 11 billion Kwacha.

ERB Public Relations Manager Namukolo Kasumpa says the development underscores the ERB’s ongoing commitment to fostering a transparent and supportive regulatory environment in line with Zambia’s national energy policies.

Ms. Kasumpa has further indicated that the rise in applications is a clear sign of a favorable regulatory framework that continues to attract investment.

She also revealed that 114 road tank vehicles have also been licensed to enhance the transportation of petroleum products, while four newly built service stations have been authorized to commence operations.
