Police in Lusaka have charged and arrested Patriotic Front (PF) presidential hopeful Emmanuel Mwamba for allegedly forging a presidential letter.
Mr. Mwamba has been jointly charged with two bloggers behind PF social media pages in connection to false publication of letters disguised as presidential directives.
The letters alleged that President Hakainde Hichilema instructed the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security to contain the influence of the Catholics in Zambia.
He has since been released on bond pending court appearance.
Meanwhile, the two bloggers behind Patriotic Front socials pages identified as Andy Luki and Thomson Phiri have remained in police custody since Wednesday this week.
