An elephant has killed a 23 year old woman of Liangati area in Senanga District.
The deceased has been identified as Mary Mundia.
According to community members, over 15 elephants are said be nearby in the area where people are living in fear and cannot go to their fields.
Area Chief Mundale of Liangati Area said most people in the community are living in fear and cannot go to their fields nor conduct their daily survival activities because of the presence of elephants in the area.
He has since called on the Government to deploy officers from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife to drive the elephants out of the community.
