Ndola High Court has acquitted eight Croatians and a Zambian Immigration Officer alongside a hospitality officer who were facing charges of attempted child trafficking.
High Court Judge, Mary Mulanda, has ruled that according to the evidence presented, the adoption documents and passports were genuine and the state has failed to establish whether the adoption process and the documents were fake.
Judge Mulanda says when the arresting officer was before the Court, he said the adoption documents were genuine and he neither traveled to DRC nor Croatia to find out how the adoption process was done in both countries.
