The Electoral Commission of Zambia has resolved to conduct a fresh parliamentary election in Mandevu Constituency of Lusaka District following a security incident that disrupted the aggregation of election results after the August 13 General Election.
The Commission says unknown individuals attacked the Mandevu Constituency totalling centre, destroyed result transmission kits and fled with election documentation, leaving the Returning Officer unable to declare the National Assembly results.
