Tonse Alliance presidential candidate, Edgar Lungu, has vowed that no government protocols or alleged intimidation will stop him from campaigning in Kawambwa Constituency ahead of the December 20, 2024 by-election.

At the official unveiling of the Alliance’s candidate, Danstan Mwansa, Mr. Lungu declared that he would continue his efforts, even if President Hakainde Hichilema visits the constituency to support the UPND candidate, Nason Musonda.

He emphasized that he would not succumb to political tactics or intimidation meant to disrupt his campaign.

In response, UPND spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa dismissed Mr. Lungu’s claims of intimidation, stating that no one would stop the former president from campaigning.

He also accused Mr. Lungu of unnecessarily portraying himself as a victim
