Former Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has denied defrauding the Zambian government of over 17 million dollars through a contract for the supply and delivery of 22, 500 Health Centre Kits.
Dr. Chilufya is jointly charged with former Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary in charge of administration Kakulubelwa Mulalelo, former Attorney General Likando Kalaluka and three Honeybee Pharmacy Directors; namely Zakir Motala, Abdurruf Motala and Imran Lunat among others.
The eight accused people will have their trial commence before the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, presided over by Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili on February 16, 2023.
