Former Ministry of General Education employees who were dismissed in 2019 for various offences of misconduct, among them misappropriation of funds and unethical conduct have appealed for reinstatement.
The aggrieved employees have told Diamond News that despite the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Auditor General and Secretary to Cabinet having cleared them of allegations levelled against them, the dismissals have been upheld.
About 40 employees were dismissed in 2019 among them secretaries, typists and registry clerks who now seek President Hakainde Hichilema’s government for help.
