DIAMOND MEDIA LAUNCHES REDESIGNED WEBSITES AND NEW MAGAZINE EDITION

Diamond Media has today unveiled two redesigned websites and the inaugural edition of its flagship magazine, marking a major step forward in its mission to bridge the information gap in Zambia. The launch event, held at the Diamond Media offices in Lusaka, was officiated by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Media, Mr. Thabo Kawana, who hailed the organization as a pioneer in the country’s media landscape.

The revamped platforms include a modernized news website dedicated to delivering breaking news and in-depth coverage, and a corporate website designed to showcase Diamond Media’s diverse offerings. These digital platforms, along with the new magazine edition, reinforce the organization’s commitment to providing timely, accessible, and engaging content to its audiences across Zambia and beyond.

In his keynote address, Mr. Kawana praised Diamond Media for its innovative approach to news delivery and its alignment with the government’s national digital drive.

“Media plays a critical role in fostering informed citizenry, transparency, and accountability,” he said. “Diamond Media continues to set an example by embracing technology to reach all corners of our nation. These platforms will not only empower Zambians but also contribute significantly to the fight against misinformation and disinformation.”

The launch also highlighted Diamond Media’s preparations for the 2026 General Election. The redesigned news website has been optimized for ease of navigation, offering segmented categories for readers to access stories tailored to their interests. The corporate website, meanwhile, provides comprehensive information about Diamond Media’s services and includes a streaming feature for on-the-go access to its channel.

Speaking at the event, Diamond Media Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Costa Mwansa, shared his excitement about the new products.

“Our mission has always been to inform, inspire, and connect people. These platforms and the magazine represent our vision of staying ahead in the digital age, encouraging informed discussions and fostering national development,” Mwansa said.

The magazine, described as a culmination of the organization’s years of hard work and innovation, features thought-provoking articles, analyses, and reflections on the challenges and triumphs of 2024.

As Zambia’s media industry continues to evolve, Diamond Media’s latest offerings reaffirm its position as a leader in digital transformation. The organization has consistently stayed ahead of the curve, from being an early adopter of virtual interviews to integrating cutting-edge technology for real-time reporting.
