Hamburger SV has announced the signing of striker Patson Daka from Leicester City on a free transfer, marking the club’s first success in their striker search this summer.
The 27 year old Zambian international has completed a medical examination in Hamburg and joined the club’s training camp in Austria as preparations intensify for the new season.
Daka arrives at HSV following the expiration of his Leicester contract. During his time at the English club, the striker contributed significantly to two Premier League survival campaigns and helped the Foxes avoid relegation to the second tier this year.
The forward was originally swapped to Red Bull Salzburg in 2021 in a deal worth approximately 30 million euros before his move to the King Power Stadium.
