The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) has urged the government to prioritize budget allocations to sectors critical for long-term growth, in line with the 8th National Development Plan.
Speaking at a budget reflection meeting in Lusaka, CSPR Executive Director Isabel Mukelabai highlighted the need to focus on agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and energy. She stressed that strategic investment in these areas could drive transformative development and raise living standards nationwide.
Mukelabai also called for enhanced social protection programs amid increasing economic pressures and climate-related risks.
