Residents of Sakubita compound in Livingstone have cried foul over increased crime rate in the area.
They have told Diamond News that suspected criminal gangs are on the rise with most houses being broken info and power cables being vandalized.
The agitated say they have since called on the local leadership to consider planning for a police post to bring sanity to the area in question.
Others say barely a day passes by without any reports of households losing their property.
Sakubita area falls under one of the densely populated wards with a population of over 18,000 residents but lacks most social amenities that range from proper roads, piped water, secondary schools and police presence.
