While others are celebrating love, the Matero Local Court in Lusaka has divorced a couple of George Compound that has been married for 47 years.
Last month, Magistrate Harriet Mulenga refused to divorce 64-year-old Mulepele Mwale, from her husband, Kenny Mvula, aged 74, on grounds that the couple still loved each other.
However, Mwale sued her husband again for divorce, stating that he has not stopped insulting her.
In defence, Mvula said he loves his wife and would not want to be divorced.
Following the insistence of the woman, the court has granted the couple divorce, but ordered that they continue staying in the same house.
